Jack Dean

Director

Jack is a poet, playwright, performer, rapper and composer whose work tells stories that wander the lands between myth, memory and history. He has toured internationally, including performances at Latitude Festival, the South Bank Centre and the Bowery Poetry Club in New York.  He has received commissions from the BBC, Unlimited, Camden People’s Theatre, Apples and Snakes, Barnsley Civic,  ARC, Bristol Old Vic, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Derby Theatre, artsdepot, Scratchworks Theatre Company and the Bike Shed Theatre. He is currently an Associate Artist of the Northcott Theatre and Proteus Theatre.

Beatrice Newman

Cellist – Jeremiah & Hero & Leander

Beatrice graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2013. She then became a member of the Mavron Quartet and has since been enjoying an extensive freelance career.

Katrin Padel

Lighting Designer – Jeremiah

Katrin is a Lighting Designer primarily based in the south-east of England. She is passionate about exploring the intersections between technically accurate, contextually relevant and aesthetically beautiful, She studied at Rose Bruford, graduating with a first class degree in Lighting Design, and is a member of the Association of Lighting Designers. 

Tim Reid

AV Designer – Jeremiah

Tim has designed video effects and playback systems for shows from experimental small scale works up to full scale Theatre, Opera and Dance productions, including projects for the National Theatre of Scotland.

Daniel Shapley

Game Developer, Great North Road

Dan is a London based Game Developer. He has an MA in game design from University of Arts London. He was nominee for the Emerging Talent Awards at Ludicious Zurich Game festival. He has created web based and mobile games, for both the Amazon and Google App store.

Molly Hawkins

Designer, Vinland

Molly trained in Theatre and Performance Design at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts 2013, and is known for her exciting work with costume, set and puppet design. Molly is more recently recognised for her large-scale vibrant Street Art pieces, found across buildings worldwide. Using geometric shapes and vivacious colour palettes, Molly brings joyful art to public spaces. Her art work, inspired by narrative and form,  transforms locations and ignites positive feeling.

Andrew Armfield

Performer, Vinland

Andrew is an actor, musician, composer and improvisor. He has toured extensively across the UK performing open-air Shakespeare, family Christmas shows, children’s theatre and improvised comedy. He has also composed original music and written lyrics for several actor-musician productions. 

Nathaniel Mason

Technical Stage Manager, Vinland

Nat has worked professionally as a technical stage manager for the past 5 years. He has toured with Barbican Theatre Company, Red Dog Theatre and Whalley Range All Stars among others. He is more recently known for his work as a creative technologist most recently developing an interactive digital experience with the National trust.

Chris Yarnell

Director, Jeremiah

Chris Yarnell is a working-class director, movement director, magician and interdisciplinary theatre maker of West Indian and British heritage. He specialises in visually/physically driven work and new writing. 

Yoon-ji Kim

Violinist – Jeremiah & Hero & Leander

Yoon-ji has worked on a variety of projects ranging in style from contemporary classical and Latin jazz to experimental world and psychedelic soul. She enjoys works of art that fuse traditional and contemporary genres and push the boundaries of what is expected, in genre, structure or performance.

Hanno Rigger

Guitarist – Jeremiah & Hero & Leander

Hanno moved to the UK in 2009 to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Popular music at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. After completion he went on to play guitar and trumpet for various bands and solo artists. He also composes and produces music and has been teaching trumpet and guitar since 2009. He is also founder of the company “New World Odour”, under which he produces and releases his music.

Jay Kerry

Technical Stage Manager – Jeremiah & Vinland | Accordionist – Hero & Leander

Jay is an experienced touring performer, Production Manager and Theatre Technician, who has worked in a wide range of venues. He is a Kaleider Resident and one half of creative technology company Mercurial Wrestler.

Christopher Harrisson

Illustrator & Animator – Vinland & Great North Road

Christopher is a freelance writer and illustrator based in Bristol. He is creator of the webcomic series Have You Lost Me.

Ellie Taylor

Director – Vinland

Ellie has been working as a professional theatre director / writer for several years, a role she balances with large scale Associate and Assistant work, almost all of which has extensively toured, either in the UK or in the USA. Previous work includes Cabinet of Curiosities for the New Vic (2018), Around the World in 80 Days by Theresa Heskins (2019) and the UK Tour / West End transfer of The Worst Witch.

Alex Chisholm

Dramaturg, Jeremiah & Vinland

Alex is a director, dramaturg and Co-Artistic Director with Aisha Khan of Freedom Studios in Bradford. As a freelance director, productions include Nine Lives by Zodwa Nyoni, and Consciencious by Adam Z. Robinson.

Sian Keen

Singer, Hero & Leander

Siân Keen is a theatre deviser, performer and vocalist who has created original critically acclaimed shows with companies and organisations such as Scratchworks Theatre, Running Dog Theatre CIC and Theatre Royal Plymouth. Her work has previously been commissioned by the BBC and is currently featured on BBC Sounds (‘We don’t know what to tell you, it’s clearly just weight related’). She mostly likes to spend her time clowning around, making up harmonies to anything she can, and coming up with terrible portmanteaus.

Katy Rowe

Violinist – Jeremiah & Hero & Leander

Katy’s performances span many fields from chamber music to soloist, session musician and orchestral player.  With a love for collaborating with other artists and art forms, Katy has also performed in several theatre productions…singing, playing bass guitar and percussion, using loop pedals and sharing the stage with puppets!

Her passion and commitment towards outreach and educational work has seen Katy lead many arts projects engaging vulnerable young people with music-making and performances as well as establishing a successful private teaching practice.
