Exeter Book Songwriting Choir

WHAT?
We’re looking for adults of all ability levels to be part of a new group creating new music inspired by the Exeter Book, a UNESCO – recognised 10th century book of riddles and poems. You don’t have to have any songwriting experience or historical knowledge, just a voice and an interest in making music with other people. It’s early days on the project, but the hope is that it will lead to a large-scale live show with both this group and a professional cast of performers in 2023.

WHO?
Sessions will be run by community singing leader and musician Amy Hopwood and award-winning writer and composer Jack Dean.

WHERE?
The Barnfield Theatre, Barnfield Rd, Exeter EX1 1SN

WHEN?
Sessions will be on Mondays 7pm-9pm, starting on the 26th of September and running for 10 further weeks (taking the half-term week of 24th October off). We hope people will make it to all of them, but if you want to join after the first session or leave before the last one, that’s totally fine.

HOW MUCH?  Nothing! Sessions are free.

Supported by Exeter Northcott Theatre.
